What is Maundy Thursday?
Maundy Thursday, March 29th this year, is also called Holy Thursday, and is a service to commemorate Jesus' Last Supper and the beginning of our sacrament, the Lord's Supper. The word Maundy comes from the Latin mandatum, which means "commandment." At the Last Supper, Jesus gave the disciples a new commandment to love one another as he had loved them (John 13:34). Prior to breaking the bread with the disciples, Jesus washed their feet. Our Maundy Thursday worship service will include Holy Communion as we share this service with anyone who would like to join us.
It will be a solemn celebration of Christ's Last Supper beginning at 7PM at Emanuel Church,
40 South Main St., Loganville, PA 17342
