This Sunday, July 8th at 1pm is Emanuel's Annual Church Picnic. This year Brown's Market will again be hosting us behind their pavilion. You can drive right down to the location. Emanuel Church will be providing BBQ and rolls. If you are able, bring a cold picnic type side dish to share (think coleslaw, mac salad, potato salad, 3 bean salad, pickled or deviled eggs etc). Or bring a desert if you are a baker. Of course bringing something is optional and we want you to come regardless. We always have plenty to eat so no sweat if you don't have time to bring anything (many of us don't).
Desert will be an ice cream treat from Brown's Shiver Shack at the pavilion (on Emanuel of course) and other desert treats some people will bring from home.
If any of you are worried about the long walk to the loo, a bucket will be available - WAIT- WHAT? - Just kidding - Actually we will have a Porta-Pot or Jiffy John (whichever name you prefer) on site to save us old folk the long walk. It will be wheel chair accessible.
As you probably know, Brown's Market has free entertainment at the pavilion on Sundays beginning at 2:30 so plan to stick around and enjoy the music. This week will feature:
July 8—The Brodbeck's Band
Marches and various concert band tunes (a real locals favorite).
Mark your calendar now so you don't forget.
Call Linda or John if you have a question.
